How SOS works
SOS lets you store your key medical details and share them with first responders through a QR code — ideal for your phone’s lock screen. No app store, no passwords, and you choose exactly what’s visible.
The basics
- Sign in with your email. We send a 6-digit code — no passwords to remember.
- Fill in your details on the Profile page: blood type, allergies, medications, conditions, and emergency (ICE) contacts.
- Choose what’s public. Tick “Public” on each item you want responders to see. Everything else stays private to your account.
- Get your QR code. The QR opens your public emergency page instantly — no login needed for whoever scans it.
- Make a wallpaper with the QR on it and set it as your lock screen, so the code is visible even when your phone is locked.
If your QR is ever lost or shared by mistake, use Reset QR link on the Profile page — the old code stops working immediately and a new one is created.
Put your QR on your lock screen
iPhone (iOS)
- On the Wallpaper page, pick your iPhone, add a photo, position the QR, then Download wallpaper.
- Open Settings → Wallpaper → Add New Wallpaper → Photos and choose the downloaded image.
- Drag to position it, tap Add, then set it as your Lock Screen.
- Tip: if iOS crops or blurs the QR, turn off the Depth Effect (tap ••• while editing).
Android
- On the Wallpaper page, pick your phone (or “Detect my screen”), add a photo, position the QR, then Download wallpaper.
- Open Photos/Gallery, open the image, tap the ⋮ menu → “Set as / Use as wallpaper”.
- Choose Lock screen (steps vary slightly by brand).
- Make sure the whole QR is visible inside the lock-screen area, then set it.
Install SOS as an app
You can add SOS to your home screen so it opens like a normal app and updates itself:
- iPhone (Safari): tap the Share button → Add to Home Screen.
- Android (Chrome): tap the ⋮ menu → Install app / Add to Home screen.
Free, no ads
SOS is 100% free, with no ads and no tracking.
